Magical South Coast Region
The South Coast is home to Wollongong and is classed as a large industrial city.
There are plenty of walking tracks around Wollongong in the Illawarra, with various lookout points. You can get great views of the city and surrounding area from Mt. Kembla.
Here you can find wonderful beaches at Windang Peninsular and lets not forget Bass Point, where you get in some great scuba diving. Further south again is Kiama and the famous Kiama blowhole.
Catch the train and see the Illawarra from a different perspective. To the south, the beautiful scenery of the Morton National Park is worth visiting, as well as Lake Illawarra, which offers various water sports.
Further south of Wollongong
If history interests you, then head to the beautiful little town of Berry, here you will find a number of museums and antique stores.
Visit Kangaroo Valley, which features the Pioneer Farm Settlement with various exhibitions.
