Segovia Aqueduct

The Aqueduct is one of the most recognizable symbols of Segovia, and was probably one of the most spectacular aqueducts in the Roman world. It was built during the 1st or 2nd century beginning near the Granja Palace and continuing on into the heart of Segovia. The 20, 400 stone blocks used in constructing the aqueduct are not cemented or stuck together by any substance, but they have held for thousands of years...it seems like the Romans knew what they were doing!
