Rockville Maryland

Rockville, Maryland is located at 39°5'1" North, 77°8'54" West (39.083708, -77.148226)GR1, in the approximate center of Montgomery County?.

Rockville has the distinction of having their high school's listed consistently on Newsweek's list of the "Top 1000 U.S. High Schools." According to the 2005 list, high schools from Rockville that were listed in the top 100 were:

 11) Richard Montgomery High School
 17) Thomas S. Wootton High School

According to the city's official web site, "Rockville is the fifth largest city in Maryland and is the county seat of Montgomery County. It occupies 13.03 square miles within the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and is located 12 miles northwest of the nation’s capital. A major portion of the prestigious I-270 corridor is within the city’s corporate limits."

Rockville Pike is a major source for restaurants and shopping in the town of Rockville. "The Pike," has many residents have come to call it features a wide variety of restaurants and shopping such as Congressional Plaza, Mid-Pike Plaza, Rockville Center and Ritchie Center, and that's just naming a few.

Rockville also its share of jumpin' nightlife including Polly Esther's of Rockville, located on Rockville Pike. This club caters to funk, hip-hop, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and even disco-lovers.
