Norwalk is a city in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Home of the annual Oyster Festival (held in September), Norwalk farms more oysters every year than any other city in Connecticut. Furthermore, it is the home of the famous Maritime Aquarium and Sheffield Island Lighthouse.
Because of its lovely scenery and historic homes and buildings, many movies have been filmed in this city, including both movie versions of "The Stepford Wives."
In 1640, the city was purchased by Robert Ludlow who was one of the founders of Connecticut colony.
