Middletown New York

Located in Orange County roughly one hour and twenty minutes north of Manhattan, Middletown is in many ways an appropriately named crossroads town. It is the junction of I-84 and Route 17, a stop on the Metro North Port Jervis Line, and a stone’s throw from the northern corners of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. A bedroom community for New York City, Middletown and the surrounding area is often much like the middle child—overlooked for the in the shadow of the big city splendor. But Middletown, on the fringe of the Catskills and the Mid-Hudson Valley Region, on the cusp of three states, deserves a second look.
