Los Angeles County Museum Of Art

LACMA is the largest encyclopedic museum in the western United States, holding over 100,000 pieces of art. Originally incorporated into the Los Angeles Museum of History, Science and Art in 1910, LACMA branched off in 1961 to form its own art museum. The museumís artwork ranges from ancient to modern, and includes the Pavilion for Japanese Art, featuring Japanese woodblock prints, scrolls, and sculpture. LACMA houses art from all over the globe, including the Americas and Europe.
