Lombard Street San Francisco

Lombard Street is most famously known for being the 'crookedest (or most windy) street in the world'. In fact, the well-known, red-bricked block of Lombard Street, has eight hairpin turns that drivers must navigate on the hill's 16 degree incline. The windiest section of Lombard Street is located between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets in the picturesque district of Russian Hill.

Take a cable car ride from Powell or Hyde streets and hop off at the top of the crooked Lombard Street block. The steepness of the hill allows for sensational views over the bay. The gardens, and the beautiful shrubs covering the block, contribute to making the beautiful aesthetics of this tourist attraction a site to behold.
