Kings Canyon National Park California

Kings Canyon borders Sequoia National Park and like its neighbor is known for the giant Sequoia trees that populate the park. These massive trees are the tallest on earth and can reach heights of nearly 400 feet. The park covers a wide range of elevations from low land forests to high mountain peaks.

Due to the huge variation of elevations weather conditions and temperature will vary greatly depending on where you are in the park. Colder more winter like weather persist in higher elevations while more season weather is experienced at the lower levels.

A beautiful area to camp is Cedar Grove, which usually opens in late spring. High granite cliffs, waterfalls and towering redwoods are just some of the amazing features of this unique forest's landscape.
