Jasper Alabama

Named in honor of Sergeant William Jasper, a Revolutionary War soldier, Jasper, Ala., is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. This city is about 22 miles from Birmingham. For outdoor activities, check out some of the many local parks including Cove Oven Park, Fowler Park, and Frisco Park.
