Located in the Midwest region of the United States, Illinois is made up of three major geographical divisions, Chicagoland, which includes Chicago, central Illinois, and southern Illinois.
Most people know of this state as being simply the home of this fabulous city. This is for good reason. You see, most of Illinois consists of farmland and farming communities. There are other great cities and university towns that help make this state a fun and unique experience, but the main thrill is certainly Chicago.
