Huntersville provides access to the haven of Lake Norman. This small town in Mecklenburg County was named in honor of landowner and cotton farmer Robert Boston Hunter. Huntersville is also the first Lake Norman town north of Charlotte.
According to Money magazine, Huntersville was the 76th best place in which to live in America in 2005. It was also named one of the top 20 places in North Carolina to retire. With some world-class retail stores and 18 historical sites, Huntersville is a place with a friendly smalltown atmosphere.
