Glendale, California Travel Guide

INTRODUCTION

Glendale is a suburb of the greater Los Angeles area and the seventh biggest city in the state of California. It is home to many offices of big companies such as Dreamworks and Nestle. Glendale also has a famous cemetery, Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, which has the graves of many celebrities, including actor Clark Gable and actress Jean Harlow. Glendale has a population of 200,859.

A big part of Glendale's recognition is derived from its collaboration with Burbank, by serving as father of the emerging age of aviation.

ATTRACTIONS

Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery is a famous local cemetery where the remains of many celebrities are contained. Go to Moonlight Rollerway, which used to be a hot spot for rollerskating back in the 50s. Also Scholl Canyon Golf Club, which has gold and great panoramic views altogether.

RESTAURANTS

Philippe The Original serves the best french-dipped sandwiches in the world. In-n-Out Burger has a limited menu, but its hamburgers, shakes, and french fries are delicious. El Tepayac is a Latin American-style restaurant that serves good Mexican food. Porto's Bakery is a great Caribbean and Cuban restaurant.
