Forrest City is named after Nathan Bedford Forrest, a famous Confederate general, who fought during the American Civil War. This city is also the birthplace of Al Green, a famous soul and gospel music singer.
Located in St. Francis County, this city is known as the Jewel of the Delta. Sitting on top of Crowley's Ridge, the rugged and beautiful outcropping that runs from Missouri through Arkansas, Forrest City is a designated hospitality center for the Crowley's Ridge Parkway National Scenic Byway.
