Elephant Rocks State Park is located in southern Missouri. The park is known for its "elephant" size granite rocks. These rocks are over a billion years old and quite remarkable. Within the park, there is a path which leads you around these enormous rocks. However, if you are quite the adventurer, you can decide to take "side trails" which allows you climb on them and see a part of southern Missouri. Another great thing about this park is the quarry ponds. The ponds provide water for the surrounding wildlife and on a shorter note, give some truth about how deep a pond can be. If you ever get the chance to visit southern Missouri, make this one of the places you decide to stop.
