Poe's only surviving house in Philadelphia is located on 7th Street. In this house, Poe wrote his short story "The Black Cat."
At this location, there are plenty of things for Poe fans to see and do. There are audio-visual programs, exhibits and a bookstore. Works written by Edgar Allan Poe are narrated by Christopher Walken and several other famous people. There is also a "Raven" statue and a Poe mural located across the street at the intersection of 7th and Green.
Admission to the house is completely free.
