Bushnell Park Hartford

This park was the dream of Reverand Horace Bushnell who preposed this park in 1853. This is a beautiful place within the city with a carousel, a large fountain, and a performance space outside. It is the site of many activities in Hartford such as the jazz festival. This park is also an aboretum for rare and native trees. Pick up a 'Tree Walk' brochure and explore the many varieties. There is also a cafe and gallery that features work from local artists. This is a great place to view the capitol building with its golden dome and take in the splendor of the city.
