Betsy Ross is believed to have sewn the first American flag to incorporate stars representing the states. Her family moved from New Jersey to Philadelphia when she was three years old, and now visitors can travel her large home, located on 4th and Arch streets.
Visitors can tour the house on their own or purchase an audio tour, which also cover the admission cost. Outside of the house, in a shaded courtyard, actors dressed in colonial clothing tell stories and make crafts.
Walking through the historic section of Philadelphia and then touring the Betsy Ross will make you feel like you've just stepped back into the 18th century.
