INTRODUCTION

Ashland is located in Boyd County, Kentucky. This city is quite festive and full of recreation for the entire family. For instance, one can pay a visit to the festival Summer Motion or visit the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center. This city is also a great place to spend your time outdoors at one of the various parks such as the Clyffeside Park or AK Steel Sports Park.

The city is an important economic and medical center for northeast Kentucky. The climate is very interesting here. All four seasons are present with occasional snow in winter.

Visit the "Ashland Area Art Gallery" where the Artist's Market is located and local as well as international artists' work is exposed. Don't leave without going to the "Highlands Meuseum and Discovery Center" where interactive exhibits are used in order to explain the city's history. "Paramounts Art Center" is another option when visiting Ashland for its art-deco feeling and the history involving the first talking motion pictures.
