Rozafa Castle

This castle has a story behind itself, which deals with the promise of the lady Rozafa, who was kept within its walls to keep the castle from falling down. Inside this legendary Rozafa Castle, which the locals take pride in as the beginning of Shkodra's history, the stone walls and buildings are exquisite.

To get a breath-taking view of Lake Shkodra and the mountains of Montenegro, trek up to the third courtyard.

You can get there by car or by foot.
