State FairThe New York State Fair was first held in Syracuse in 1841 and continues to be held there today. It is a fair celebrating New York's culture, history, technological innovation and agriculture. Several musical artists perform at the New York State Fair each year. The fair is held annually at the end of August and beginning of September.
