INTRODUCTION

This is a coastal Alpine country in southern Central Europe, which borders Italy to the west, the Adriatic Sea to the southwest, Croatia to the south and east, Hungary to the northeast, and Austria to the north. It offers quite a number of attractions. As it is set along the Adriatic Sea, vegetation and natural beauty is inherent. It also is home to more than 200 species of birds. After appreciating nature, the adventurous traveller can engage in the ever-popular watersports Slovenia has to offer, or free climb on the steep cliffs by Črni Kal and Osp. For a more modern visit, the city Portorož has casinos, deluxe hotels and dining, and is the one of Slovenia's most famous tourist spots. It's capital city is Ljubljana.
