Being a unitary island nation in the Caribbean and the smallest nation in the Western Hemisphere, these main islands have many musical celebrations such as the Carnival, held on Saint Kitts from December 17 to January 3, the Saint Kitts Music Festival, held during the last week in June, and the Culturama, which is held on Nevis, from the end of July to early August.
While visiting Nevis, you should definitely horseback ride along a mountain trail and down along the surf, its an experience you will never forget! The island is perfect for hikers and beach goers because it offers some of everything in a nice small unit. Make sure to visit the small local town, which has beautiful shops for traditional caribbean goods and its own beached ship in the harbor.
